Kicking Cancers Butt 🎗

Hey 👋 I know it’s been a few months since my last blog, and to be honest it’s because I’m kicking cancers butt 💪  CML may be uncureable but I’m the showing Leukaemia who’s boss 🤗 Anyway, this blog entry is a nice mix of things, in it will be my past 2 Leukaemia results , 3 months and 6 months , for the people following my journey it helps let you know where I am at, also I asked all my close friends to write about what it was like/is like knowing I have Cancer..  as I know a few people who read my blogs don’t have cancer but have a loved one with cancer and say that my blog helps them understand/ feel better , so I thought I’d ask from an outsiders point of few how it feels so people know it’s normal/okay to feel they way they do with their loved ones, and I warn you they are all tear jerkers, so get the tissues ready, I’ve cried at every one of them, the love and Support I have is just incredible, pre warn you some paragraphs are long, but mean so much💕. 14th August - 1 week today !  Today it’s exactly a week till my first ever LEUKAEMIA results, I’ve been going to the hospital regularly, getting my bloods taken and talking with my Doctor , on side effects and keeping an eye on my White blood cells ! Where last time my blood were at 5.2!! Highest I’ve had them on chemo , turns out higher the better when on chemo, average in a normal person is 11, when I was diagnosed I was 24 way too high! All my appointments I’ve been 3.0 - 4.0 , and when I was recently in hospital I was 0.something, far to low !  So 5.2 was good for my last count :D So on the 13th July it was 3 months on treatment which meant can finally get my bloods sent to Leeds (a cancer hospital) to get them looked at by professionals ect. But had to wait till the 21st August to get the results back and find out for the first time what percentage my Leukaemia is at. 0.05 is Remission, the main goal on this journey , because I can’t get rid of my cancer , I have ...

3 months on treatment and I didn’t imagine I’d be spending some nights in hospital already, here’s what happened best I can remember, it was a scary experience and unfortunately it will happen a lot :( Bare with this it’s a long story and at the bottom I’ve attached a fair few pictures (some blood to pre warn) With my chemo tablets I suffer feeling sick A LOT especially in the night and wake up to be sick, but this started on Thursday 12th July, I woke up and I felt sick but a different sick to normal, I nearly didn’t get out of bed I felt awful but I knew “2 Days left of work then weekend” so I went to my mums in my Pjs and first thing she said was “you don’t look well leanne!!” All day I felt off, I went to work and just braced through, I woke up Friday 13th July, and could barely speak my throat was in agony I just thought was swollen glands or something so I was at work trying to speak up as couldn’t speak very well , Saturday 14th July, I had lunch with a friend and then I ha...
